Gurgaon (New Delhi Area, India)
- Provide support in tax rationalization, compliance, assessments and litigation matters to all Oracle entities in India;
- Active & online support in all tax areas viz. Corporate Tax, cross-border taxation, transfer pricing, expatriate taxation (advise), withholding tax, erstwhile fringe benefit tax issues and wealth tax etc.
- Supervise indirect / transaction tax areas such as Customs, Excise, Service Tax and VAT to optimize the tax function deliverables;
- Participate in all tax related initiatives per 2011-12 plan, viz. Anticipate changes and responses that might be required as regulation emerges (e.g. DTC, IFRS, GST, Pre-budget memorandum etc.)
- Adopt a structured approach to represent before the governments, tax authorities and regulators in India for favourable changes in local tax law / practice, double tax treaties and tax neutrality;
- Representation of tax & regulatory matters, policies, results before Oracle and group companies’ senior management, audit committees to be met in full, delivered on time to a high quality against a backdrop of increasingly demanding tax environment.
- Review and finalize tax computation, deferred tax computations, tax accounting, quarterly FIN48, FAS 5 schedule, audit schedule, advance tax & tax payable reconciliations with financial reports;
- Provide transfer pricing support in the area of reviewing financial information, transfer pricing documentation, monitor results and review the variances and working with external tax advisors to help finalize the transfer pricing studies to support the inter-company billing arrangements.
- Work with other departments such as accounts payable, accounts receivables, financial controllers, shares services teams, collections, order booking and management, local finance, treasury, legal, and the business divisions in undertaking tax compliance, assessments, litigations research, risk evaluation and implementing tax initiatives.
- On-going review of tax compliance processes to ensure that taxes are accounted for appropriately, timely and identify tax saving opportunities. review external consultants work, evaluate & perform cost benefit analysis, participate in tax health checks and assist in the handling of tax authorities’ queries and special audits, where appropriate.

Requirements
- The incumbent should be a qualified Chartered Accountant and having at least 10plus years of post qualification experience in Taxation in Tax accounting firms or in Industry or both;
- The incumbent must have excellent technical knowledge, strong computer skills, excellent oral, written communications and presentations skills;
- The incumbent should ideally have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision, multitasking and commercial acumen abilities;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment.
